Free Parking in Manchester

If you have a car or are being driven up to university and struggling to find free parking in Manchester city here is a list of streets in Manchester where you can park for free! (May be subject to change).

Manchester Piccadilly rail station – Old Mill Street – Anytime

Manchester Metropolitan University – Reilly St – Anytime

Deansgate rail station – Potato Wharf – Anytime (towards end of road, first part for residents only)

St Georges Park – City Road – Anytime

Town Centre – Wadeson Road – Anytime excl Mon-Fri 08:00-18:00 [paid]

Manchester Piccadilly rail station – Wadeson Road – Anytime excl Mon-Fri 08:00-18:00 [paid]

Town Centre Manchester – Hanworth Close – Anytime excl Mon-Fri 08:00-18:00 [paid]

Manchester Piccadilly rail station – Hanworth Close – Anytime excl Mon-Fri 08:00-18:00 [paid]

Town Centre Manchester – Bond Street – Anytime

You can also park for free in the city centre on any side-street where the pay-metres are for FREE after 8pm – 8am. Just watch out for the ubiquitous parking attendants dishing out tickets during paying hours.

    Hi – parking at pay meters isn’t free on a Sunday in Manchester and you have to pay until 8pm weekdays also not 6pm – rules changed a while ago
